CLASSES OFFERED

Students work on going across the floor on mats, working on the following techniques: cartwheels, handstands, handstand forward roll, handstand pops, front limbers, back limbers, back walkover, front walk over, running hurdle cartwheel, running hurtle round off, aerials & front handspring.  Students are broken into stations working drills

 Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. Like all dance classes, hip-hop is a great way

Like all dance classes, hip-hop is a great way for children to learn  social skills and manners. This class will teach children to follow  direction while still having fun. It will also enable them with  communication skills through facial expressions and the ability to tell a  story through dance. Hip-hop can improve performance presence in all  different styles of dance and entertainment.

This class focuses on developing strength, control, and flexibility through advanced movement techniques. Dancers will work on mastering inversions such as handstands, shoulder stands, and other weight-bearing skills, while also refining full-body extensions including leg holds, arabesques, and tilts.

Lyrical/Contemporary is a class in which students need to have a general understanding of basic ballet & jazz terminology.    This class will help dancers learn how to emote feelings in their dance & tell a story.

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet.  Contemporary dance is movement based & stresses versatility and improvisation.
