Classes offered

 Students work on going across the floor on mats, working on the following techniques: cartwheels, handstands, handstand forward roll, handstand pops, front limbers, back limbers, back walkover, front walk over, running hurdle cartwheel, running hurtle round off, aerials & front handspring.  Students are broken into stations working drill

Acro Levels

Level 1-Beginning

Level 2- Intermediate

Level 3- Advanced

Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. Classes begin at the barre where students perform movement sequences to develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. These skills are reinforced through center and across the floor combinations. Classical technique and vocabulary are taught.

(Recommended age- 6+)

Jazz classes will teach dancers the fundamentals of jazz technique, including but not limited to turns, leaps, extensions, flexibility, movement quality and lines. Jazz classes will teach dancers the fundamentals of jazz technique, including but not limited to turns, leaps, extensions, flexibility, movement quality and lines. This class will also focus on techniques to improve flexibility, musicality, and performance quality. Dancers should have a basic understanding of ballet technique and it is recommended that they take both, ballet & jazz classes simultaneously.

Lyrical/Contemporary is a class in which students need to have a general understanding of basic ballet & jazz terminology.    This class will help dancers learn how to emote feelings in their dance & tell a story.

Lyrical/Contemporary is a class in which students need to have a general understanding of basic ballet & jazz terminology.    This class will help dancers learn how to emote feelings in their dance & tell a story. 

   

Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques.  A lyrical dancer's movements attempt to show the meaning of the music. Lyrical jazz is a very passionate and emotional dance style that tells a story through every movement.

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet.  Contemporary dance is movement based & stresses versatility and improvisation.

(Recommended age- 6+)

 Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. Like all dance classes, hip-hop is a great way for children to learn  social skills and manners. This class will teach children to follow  direction while still having fun. It will also enable them with  communication skills through facial expressions and the ability to tell a  story through dance. Hip-hop can improve performance presence in all  different styles of dance and entertainment.

In this fun and exciting class dancers will march, gallop and roll... jump, twirl, wiggle and giggle while using our minds to go on exciting adventures. Fine and gross motor skills are developed through class dances, props, and fun obstacle courses.

In this class we will skip, gallop and leap... stretch, crawl, wiggle and giggle. The dancers will learn basic jazz dance, which is a wonderful activity to nurture a sense of rhythm and timing. We introduce and teach basic ballet positions and movements. A portion of this class also allows the dancers to be able to 

Tiny's 4 years- 6 years

In this class we will skip, gallop and leap... stretch, crawl, wiggle and giggle. The dancers will learn basic jazz dance, which is a wonderful activity to nurture a sense of rhythm and timing. We introduce and teach basic ballet positions and movements. A portion of this class also allows the dancers to be able to freely experience their own moving body and find joy in dancing. This preschool dance class is a wonderful introduction for the young student to a basic classroom structure in a fun and nurturing environment.

The Studio M Competition Team is our most competitive program comprised of dancers pushing themselves to the limits of their technique and artistry. Genres include ballet, hip hop, jazz and lyrical. Members participate in community performances, a minimum of 3 regional competitions and 1 national competition. We offer multiple levels: min

The Studio M Competition Team is our most competitive program comprised of dancers pushing themselves to the limits of their technique and artistry. Genres include ballet, hip hop, jazz and lyrical. Members participate in community performances, a minimum of 3 regional competitions and 1 national competition. We offer multiple levels: mini, petite, junior or teen. Dancers will be placed in their appropriate category based on age and or talent.
